Happy Easter! Today as we close out our Lent season 2026, we will read the resurrection stories from the gospels as well as a chapter from First Corinthians. Here is the “playlist” for those who would like to follow along with the texts:
I started with John simply because it is my favorite gospel. I threw in the chapter from the Corinthian letter because we had time and not only does Paul speak here of the resurrection of the dead, but also of Christ as our First Fruit which seemed wholly appropriate to conclude our first season of FirstFruits. :) For more commentary and a deeper dive into these scripture readings, I invite you to check out our Bonus Day 41 Second Helpings post, which is FREE today in celebration of Easter!
